The reality is that the vast majority of "diamond painting, DIY" kits available in the market today are illegal for sale. It is not a matter of price. The components are not only inferior, but they are also contaminated with heavy metals, phthalates, formaldehyde, and other nasties. I am not exaggerating...The difference in price reflects the quality and integrity of the materials that DD uses in its production which is overseen by compliance experts. Many people don't understand the significance of this aspect and are happy to buy cheap, inferior products from Wish and Ali Express without a second thought. The other issue is that of copyright. Once again, the internet traders show scant regard for intellectual property and copyright. They are happy to copy anyone's art, display that art as a true representation of their product on their website and take people's money under false pretenses. Our philosophy is totally different. We put out a product which will stand up to any technical scrutiny and we spend a lot of time interpreting our designs with our design team to ensure the end result is spectacular. The old saying is so pertinent "The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of a low price is forgotten”. - Dennis Papas, Diamond Dotz Principal.
